In the beautiful village Koilani, in Cyprus, you can find Chatzicharalampous winery. A 3rd generation family-owned winery, where tradition meets innovation. Our first grapes were planted in 1945 by Takis and Yianoula Chatzicharalampous on the slope of the mountain of Afamis. They produced everything that could be made from grapes, and of course, wine. Due to their grapes’ purity and excellent quality, the general public demanded their products. That was when the couple decided to expand their business in 1975. It all started with a small storeroom containing 5-6 clay jars. Later, they bought one of the village’s old shops to expand their business.
Marios Chatzicharalampous, followed in his parents’ footsteps. He taught his children, Michalis and Argyro, the craft from a young age, instilling in them a love and passion for winemaking, resilience, and perseverance. In 2020, their family bought a second old grocery store in the village, next to the first one. The children, together with their father, produced their first bottled wines under their own brand.
